The Bhota town is about 15 KM away from Hamirpur on the way to Hamirur -Barsar -Una Road. Two Major National Highways(1.Una- Aghar Mandi 2.Dharamshala - Hamirpur- Bilaspur-Shimla) Passes through Bhota Town. The Bhota Town is very Famous for the Charitable Hospital Run TRUST RADHA SOAMI(BEAS).
The Bhota Nagar Panchayat came into existance during the year 19 2nd April 1988. The town is located on 31 degree 36 minutes North and 76 degree 17 minutes East.The altitude of Bhota town is 2000 feet above mean sea level.It is well connected to important town cities like Ghumarwin,Bilaspur,Hamirpur and Una.There are some government institutions like Police Chowki, PHC, GSSS Bhota, Electrical Sub Division, I&PH Section, PWD section,PNB, Kangra State Co-op.Society,Post Office,1 Hotel & Some Dhabas are situated in this town.Its area is1.06 Sq. Km having 7 Wards. There is continues flow of religious tourists and other Tourist towards Kullu, Manali,Shimla & Dharamsala.The residing population of the town is 1450 but an average 1,50,000 visitors per month visit the town due to its centrally importance.
The Nagar Panchayat Bhota is Presently Functioning to provide basic amenities to the public like roads,street,drains,sanitation and street light etc.Total length of the existing katcha and pucka roads/paths is about 15 Km roads,about 2 Km roads are katcha whereas about 11 Km street are narrow and need to develop.The waste water and storm water mostly flowing through katcha drains which are more than 12 Km. There is no sewerage scheme functional in town.The water supply scheme of the town is functioning properly and is maintained by the I&Ph. Department.
